Dear Sonntag Families,
Welcome to the first edition of the Sonntag Scoop! I hope this newsletter becomes a helpful way for us to stay connected throughout the school year. Thank you for the warm welcome you've extended to me over the past few weeks. Every day, I become more convinced that Sonntag is a truly special place.
I also appreciate your patience as I learn the many moving pieces that make our school run so smoothly. My goal is to provide families with accurate, timely information, and I'd rather take a little extra time to make sure I have something right than send information that needs to be corrected later.
I can't wait to welcome our students back, meet more of our families, and begin building the relationships that make an elementary school such a special community. It's going to be a great year at Sonntag! Erin Michael Principal |

Parent and family engagement is a critical element of student success because it creates a strong partnership between home and school that supports both academic and social growth. When families are actively involved, students are more likely to attend school regularly, stay motivated, and achieve at higher levels. Meaningful engagement ensures that families are informed, valued, and equipped to support learning beyond the classroom. Through consistent communication, collaborative opportunities, and a shared commitment to student achievement, our campus fosters a culture where families and educators work together to meet the needs of every child and promote long-term success.
