Hello 2nd Grade Families,
We had a great week in 2nd grade. We wanted to remind you that our day begins promptly at 7:45 AM. This is especially important because our specials is so early in the day. Please be mindful of dropping your student off in time for them to unpack and feel ready to start the day at 7:45 AM.
This week we introduced Chromebooks. We want to encourage practice at home using keyboards, typing, and trackpad. As a reminder, we have students' Clever log in QR codes in daily folders. Please read through our newsletter and let us know if you have any questions! |

Your order will be delivered to the School 09/14, we will then give your order to your students teacher and they will send home. Also if you are ordering for multiple grade levels, the order will be sent home with the oldest child. |

Students are expected to bring their daily folder to school and take it home each day. On Spelling weeks, lists will be in their folder at the start of the week. Graded work will be in their folders every Thursday. Parents should look at their child's folder daily for any comments from their teacher on the "behavior log". Please sign or initial your child's folder each night. |
If there is a change in dismissal, you need to: 1) Email both your child's teacher and the front office.
2) The request must be received by 1:00 pm. |

In addition to keeping up with the work in your students daily folder (graded work sent home on Thursdays), you can also see your child's grades in HAC (Home Access Center). The easiest way to get to it is through the Frisco ISD app. Click on more, click on Home Access and log in with your child's ID number and password. Passwords are their birthdate: Example: 02051994 Your child should know their info because they use it for all logins at school. |
We are so excited to kick off our new Scott Proud Bucks this year! Students will be working hard all year to earn money for following our Scott Proud Expectations in the hallways, restrooms, cafeteria, and playground. Once a month, students will get to cash in their Proud Bucks for super fun prizes. We are so thankful for our wonderful PTA for funding our prize cart and all the prizes. We would also love to offer snacks and candy as another incentive in our school store. If you are able to donate something, please check out this sign-up link, and drop off donations at the front desk. Thank you!

If you are dropping your child's lunch off, please make sure you drop it off before 10:50 AM. If you drop it off after our 2nd grade bucket has been brought inside, your child will have to buy lunch from the cafeteria. The front office is no longer accepting late lunches.
In a few weeks, parents may sign up to have lunch with their child once per week. A Sign-Up Genius link will be included in our newsletter to reserve a spot for the upcoming week.
When visiting, you and your child will sit at designated visitor tables. This is a special time just for you and your child—additional children may not join. You're welcome to bring a special meal to enjoy together (e.g., Chick-fil-A), but food may not be shared with other students. We look forward to welcoming you for these meaningful moments! |
